Objectives

  • To root and inform our work by aspirations and experiences of communities of the marginalised and their struggles

  • To sensitise churches and associated organisations on the realities of the social and economic injustice in affected communities

  • To strengthen initiatives in targeted communities through training

 

PROGRAMMES


Accompaniment
  • better understanding and increased support of people’s struggles for socio-economic justice by ESSET

Social mobilisation
  • increased support for the struggles of marginalised groups by the target group (targeted churches, church agencies and partner organisations)

Strengthening leadership
  • increased level of understanding of and activism for social and economic justice within the target group

 

EXPECTED RESULTS / OUTCOMES

Result 1: Accompaniment

There is increased connection between people’s struggles for socio-economic justice and the work of ESSET and its associates.

Result 2: Church Mobilisation

Targeted churches and associated organisations have been sensitized to the realities of social and economic injustice in affected communities

Result 3: Strengthening Leadership

Affected communities have acquired the necessary understanding of the dynamics of their context and skills to demand and work for alternatives

Result 4: Research and Analysis

Struggles of affected communities are supported by evidence based research and analysis.

Result 5: Communication and Information

ESSET’s work, positions and profile has been communicated to partners, associates, and target groups; and in public spaces

Result 6: Institution Development

ESSET is an effective and efficient institution with personnel committed to the realization of socio-economic transformation within society
